         Unit 1          The Generation Gap

  • p. 12 exercises 16 & 17: Write about what your life was like when you were 17 years old. Try to use: “used to and didn’t use to”. Title: "Those were the days..."
  • Mention: school, friends, relationship with your parents and free time.
  • Write 100 words.

  • p.22, ex. 13. Design your own advert for a new product. Include the following information:
-      Type of product. It could be something you eat, a technological item, or something you use in the home.
-      The brand name.
-      What is special about it.
-      The slogan.
  • Use some examples of: Conditional Sentences and the structure “so…that”.
  • Write 100 words.

   Unit 3    Do you have a sense of humour?


       p.37, ex. 8. Write about a humorous anecdote that happened to you. Answer these  
       questions:
-      What happened?
-      When and where did it happen?
-      Why was it funny?

  • Try to include some of these adjectives + preposition:
        good at, worried about, interested in, happy about, crazy about.

  • Try to include some of these nouns:
         concentration, darkness, excitement, imagination, happiness, agreement, 
         argument,   sadness,  achievement.
  •  Write about 100 words.

  •  Write about: How important is music in your life? Mention the following aspects:
-      Your favourite type(s) of music.
-      Your favourite singer / band.
-      What instruments you play.
-      An important song to you. Why?

  • Try to include vocabulary from unit 4, relative clauses (at least one example) and express preferences using "prefer".
  • Write about 100 words.

p. 55, ex. 6. Write an article for the magazine "Sports News" giving your opinion                      about one of these activities: boxing, hunting, cock-fighting or bullfighting.

  • Are you for or against?   Give reasons and include some different connectors of contrast: however, but, although, on the one hand, on the other hand.

  • Try to include vocabulary from unit 5.
  • Write about 100 words.

p.68, ex. 6. Write about a dream including at least, three of the images and seven words and expressions from the box. 


  • Use Past Continuous in contrast with Past Simple.
  • Include prepositions of movement.
